Manuel Casal Lodeiro, coordinator of Instituto Resiliencia, a constituent part of Centro de Saberes para a Sustentabilidade, has just published an article on the Environment section of Spanish Contexto magazine criticising the feasablity of United Nations Sustainable Development Objetives in the form that the Spanish goverment tries to implement them.
En 2015 la ONU aprobó un documento con 17 objetivos y 169 metas, continuación de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODM) propuestos en 2000. Esta actualización se denominó Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) o Agenda 2030. España comenzó a definir sus deberes en esta materia ya bajo el Gobierno Rajoy, pero, con el cambio de gobierno, Pedro Sánchez decide darle un impulso, nombra a Cristina Gallach como alta comisionada para la Agenda 2030 del Gobierno de España, y lanza Objetivos2030.com. Según Gallach, el nuevo gobierno decide imprimirle una “mayor ambición” a dicha agenda. Aunque, a la vista de sus contenidos, cabe preguntarse: ¿es simplemente “ambiciosa”, o en realidad es demasiado ambiciosa, algo irrealizable?
